Susan J. McEwen - Piano, Organ, Conductor

Susan learned piano at a very young age and it wasn't long before she was demonstrating her prodigious abilities in local churches and at school events in the Atlanta area. She continued her music training through high school and into college.

She graduated with her BME degree in music from Shorter University in Rome, Georgia and earned Master of Music and Educational Specialist degrees and did further post-graduate work at Georgia State University. In recent years, she acted as Music Coordinator at Perimeter College, now part of Georgia State University.

Susan has been featured on public radio, WABE’s program Atlanta Music Scene, as a collaborative pianist on several occasions, including a broadcast of George Gershwin songs, piano solos, and a piano duet arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue. In addition, she has acted as Music Director of many productions of the Theater Arts Guild in Atlanta, including "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", "Ain't Misbehavin", "Chicago", "Candide", "West Side Story", "Jekyll and Hyde" and "The Secret Garden". Most recently, Susan performed at "A Night at the Opera", with Italian opera headliners, Carmelo Maffongelli and PierLuigu Paulucci.
